Successful Morning Routine

I just woke up and now I’m laying in bed just scrolling mindlessly on my phone. Have you ever done this? I’m so mad at myself because I know full well that how we start our mornings is so important, not only for setting ourselves up for the day but also manifesting and creating what we want!! 

Our brain is still in “theta brain wave” mode when we first wake up. Theta brain wave mode is when your brain is at its most creative, most responsive, and most flexible in thought. More importantly you’re in an awake / dream state which means if you visualize first thing in the morning you will be more able to attract what you desire in your life. You will also be changing neural pathways in your brain which will help you to make conscious and subconscious decisions throughout the day. Helping you reach your goals and dreams. ⠀

Picking up your phone first thing in the morning and falling into the “scroll hole” is the WORST thing you can do. It instantly puts you in reactive mode by responding to stimuli that doesn’t serve you and kicks in your adrenals before you even get out of bed. ⠀

Here’s my tip: Cell phones now have the ability to limit your screen time on your phone by preventing you from opening certain apps within certain hours. If you are like me and find reaching for your social media first thing in the morning a hard habit to break, try using this feature. Then instead, listen to a guided meditation, maybe a visualization one, or a gratitude one. If you’re serious about setting yourself up for success, it all starts by getting into the correct habits in the morning. All the greats and most successful people start their mornings off with a routine that helps them win. You can too!
